Location:- Bandar Baru Permas Jaya, Johor Bahru, Johor / 百万镇, 新山, 柔佛.

Arrived at Johor Bahru very early in the morning and was invited to stay with a relative whom were mentioning and frequent this premise. After some good rest, we decided to visit this place of worship. There is a beautiful Pai Lou / 牌樓 facing the main road that is used as an entrance but a road further down will lead to the temples courtyard. I would suggest taking the route to the courtyard for better parking.

On our arrival to this temple, we were greeted by the friendly committee members who kindly explained a bit about this place and allowed us to take some photos. I couldn’t help noticing the huge Tiger General / 虎爺 located in a man made cave that was builded by the side of the temple. It is rare to see a temple enshrine a tiger general that is so large. This temple is also decorated with two huge beautifully crafted dragon pillars guarding the temple.

In the main prayer hall, there are rows of brightly lit red lanterns hanging from ceiling wall. The lights that glows from the lanterns gives a warm and auspicious feeling when you enter this hall.

There are three altar enshrined here. The main altar is dedicated to the worshipped of its main patron deity, Da Bo Gong / 大伯公. It’s military / 武 / Wu and literature / 文 / Wen officer stands grandly by it’s side. Kindly note that, based on what i can make out, the statue of Da bo Gong and it’s officer’s should be about 5 feet plus in height.

An altar on the Left corner is devoted to the worshipped of Na Zha San Tai Zi / 哪吒三太孑 or more commonly known as Zhong Tan Yuan Shuai / 中壇元帥. And the altar on the Right corner is devoted to the worshipped of the Goddess Guan Yin Pu Sa / 觀音菩薩 along with Jin Tong Yu Nu / 金童玉女 by it’s side.

On the side of the main prayer hall, two smaller shrine is builded, one is dedicated to the worshipped of Tai Sui / 太歲 and another is dedicated to the Five General / Wu Ying Yuan Shuai / 五營元帥. There is also room located behind this two shrine, this is where they housed their Yin Tan / 陰壇. Here, it is named Cheng Huang Dian / 城隍殿. Worshipped on the altar here is the city god Cheng Huang Ye / 城隍爺 along with Da Er Bo Ye / Tua Dee Ya Pek / 大二伯爷.
