Nan Zhen Gong-Ulu Yam / 南鎮宫-烏汝音.

Location: Ulu Yam Baharu, Selangor / 烏汝音, 雪蘭莪.

On the way to Ulu Yam town, I came across this nice looking temple by the side of the main road. This temple sits on the middle of this large plot of land with a unique design that seem to me as a tower builded on its side.

The main altar in this temple is primary devoted to the worship of the mighty Lord master of powers, Fa Chu Gong / 法主公. There are also several other deities on this altar. Other deities worship in this main hall are Fu De Zheng Shen / 福德正神 also known as Da Bo Gong / 大伯公 and Goddess Guan Yin / Guan Yin Pu Sa / 觀音菩薩. Both on their own altar respectably.

I was told that this was one of the four major chinese temple with in Ulu Yam town. From information gathered from one the the frequent visitor we met there, the original temple was actually located further in the old village and had moved to this newly build temple a few years ago. It was further said that this temple was establish more than a hundred years ago. This place was primary maintain by the descendants of the Chen / Chan / 陳氏 surname from the village and of course people from different surnamed are welcomed.

I couldn’t be sure about the information provided here. Do drop me a mail with the CONTACT section above if you have more info.
