Shang Di Gong-Titi / 上帝宫-知知港.

aka Tokong Shang Di Gong.

Driving further into the village we came upon a Pai Lou / 牌樓 by the side of the main road. The steps leading through the pai lou to the temple is Inaccessible by any vehicle so we decided to park on the road shoulder when, fortunately, there were this couple whom operated some business at a shop opposite the pai lou guided us to another entrance road about 50 meters away that let us drive to the back of the temple. Even though there were a signage leading to this temple, one would need to look out for it as it is easily missed.

Located on a higher ground, it does has a beautiful view towards a part of Titi town and the mountain range behind it. While looking around, a few residents whom stayed nearby came to offer their prayers. Speaking to a few of them, I came to know that they would visit this temple every evening to offer prayers and chit-chat. Facing South-South East, there would not be harsh sunlight of the evening sun heating up the front of the temple, making it an ideal place to have an evening meet up and even coffee. They explained to me that this temple has been around when they were kids (they are now in their late 50s) and they have no knowledge on when this temple was first establish.

This temple is devoted to the worshipped on its main patron deity, Xuan Tian Shang Di / 玄天上帝, also known as The Supreme Lord of the Mysterious Dark Heaven, he is a higher ranking taoist deity whom is known to be very powerful and able to control the element. Other deities enshrined in this temple includes Guan Yin Pu Sa / 觀音菩薩, Da Bo Ye / 大伯爺, Bai Hu / 白虎, Tu Di Gong / 土地公, etc. And a smaller shrine at the front yard is dedicated to the worshipped of its tutelary deity, Na Du Gong / 嗱督公.
