Bao Shan Tang-Ringlet / 保善堂-冷力.
Location:- Ringlet, Cameron Highland, Pahang /冷力, 金馬崙高原, 彭亨.
As we we heading towards Tanah Rata from Tapah, we came across this chinese temple located by the side of the hill along the main route. We decided to stop by to pay a visit and it’s is not disappointing.
Visiting a Chinese temple on a higher ground usually means a good view and if there is much more space for expansion, the more better. I would consider this place as having both.
Upon arrival, we were greated with beautiful and colorful wall painting of the 8 immortals, Ba Xian / 八仙 on the side wall of this temple. It has a beautiful Pai Lou / 牌樓 leading to the entrance of the temple. There is also a stage for its celebration and festival purposes.
On the inside, all wall are painted with chinese mythology characters. It’s copper made dragon embracing the pillars over-looking a bridge leading to the main altar is rarely seen. Just Unique. If a devotee has any enquiries, they could seek the bamboo stick oracle. And the answers derived from the oracle can be found on small pink papers in the cabinet by the side.
There is three altar enshrined in this temple. The centre altar is devoted to the worshipped of its main patron deity, Bao Sheng Da Di / 保生大帝. Other deities worshipped on this altar includes Guan Sheng Da Di / 關聖大帝, Guang Ze Zun Wang / 廣澤尊王, Fa Zhu Gong /法主公, etc. The Buddha / Fo Zu / 佛祖 is also enshrined on this altar.
An altar to the left is devoted to the worshipped of the Goddess Guan Yin Pu Sa / 觀音菩薩, Zhu Sheng Niang Niang / 注生娘娘 and Tian Hou Niang Niang / 天后娘娘. While an altar to the right is devoted to Marshall Zhao Gong Ming / 趙公明, Ji Gong Huo Fo / 濟公活佛, Qi Tian Da Sheng / 齊天大聖, etc. You would need to visit this place to know more.
