My Time….Chinese temple in Malaysia / 馬來西亞神廟文化.

Hong Hua Ting-Sepang / 紅花亭-雪邦.

Location:- Sepang, Selangor / 雪邦, 雪兰莪.

A direct translation for Hong Hua Ting is Red Flower Pavillion.

This temple has a big community playground in front. We decided to stop by to enjoy the sunset in this small housing estate. It would be nicer if there is a coffee shop with some hawker selling bun and biscuit nearby.

Upon reaching this temple, a lady came greet us. Offering joss stick for prayers. It is very common for the caretaker to offer joss stick and they would also do some small prayers/chanting when u do a small donation. Sitting by her mini garden, she was very friendly and explain much about this temple. Her name is Madam Lim (林亜萍). I was told that this place was build in 2002. She is also the medium and caretaker for this temple. According to her, the god of war Guan Di / 關帝 and sometime the goddess fairy Qi Xian Hong Hua Xian Nu / 七仙紅花仙女 will be invited into her body when devotee seek for help.

We had an hour long conversation about this temple. We wish we could sit and chat more but it’s getting late.

Sitting on the center altar is Goddess Kuan Yin / 觀音菩薩 There is also many other smaller statue of deities on the altar. A Na To Gong / 嗱督公 can also be seen on the side of the building.
