Ba Xian Gu Miao-Sg Besar / 八仙古廟-大港.
Location:- Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam, Selangor / 沙白安南, 大港, 雪兰莪.
Located in a fishing village Sungai Besar, a district in Sabak Bernam in Selangor. This temple has a vast front with a river in front. It is also overlooking some port that fishing boats docks. It is build in a very different manner compare to much temple I have seen. The interior altar area is hexagonal in shape.
On the main altar, The center would be Lord Buddha / 佛祖. On the right, Xian Fa Zu Shi / 仙法祖師. On the left is Ta Mo Zu Shi / 達摩祖師.
On the far right, Goddess Quan Yin / 觀音 and far left is Ji Gong Huo Fo / 濟公活佛.
Xian Fa Zu Shi is call Sin Faat Jo Si and Ta Mo Zu Shi is call Tak Mo Jo Si in cantonese.
It’s temple annual festival is on the 9 day of the 9 lunar month (九月初九).
This place is also serve as a marriage registrar for couples in Sungai Besar for the past 30+ years. It’s committee hall is located next to this temple.
