The surrounding is fill with greens of nature with a river not far. Its courtyard, fill with pots of flowers, is nurtured by the caretaker of the temple. It also has a small chinese pavilion on its courtyard where one could spend sometime enjoying its scenery and fresh air.

On my visit, many red lanterns is hung on the opened porch section before the main entrance. Here, you will also find an altar dedicated to Tian Gong /天公, like in most temple.

It has a Sky well / Tian Jing / 天井 will four white pillars inscribe with chinese poetic rhyme inside the temple. The wall next to the main altar is fill with pieces of mosaic with the image of Lord Guan. There is a total of 260 piece of these mosaic on each side of the wall. On some of the mosaic, i found names belonging to devotees, whom, i presumed, had donated generously to this temple.

aka Tokong Kwan Tee.

This old looking temple is located with a row of shops behind it’s back and with an apartment in front of it. I believe back those days, it would have a good view in its front before the apartment was build.

This is one of the three Guan Di Temple from Blue Valley to Tanah Rata that could be seen along the way.

On the left main altar is Thousand Hand Guan Yin / Qian Shou Guan Yin (千手觀音), The God of war Guan Di / 關帝 on the center and Goddess Guan Yin / Guan Yin Pu Sa / 觀音菩薩 on the right.

A trip back from Gua Musang to Tanah Rata brought us to this place. We were looking for food and saw this temple not far from where the restaurant is. There is actually a few factories / warehouse near it, and i notice a few trucks been loaded up with vegetables upon my arrival.

The top of the altar has two huge crafted dragon on it and sitting on the main altar, at the center is Guan Di / 關帝, on it’s Left is Da Bo Gong / 大伯公 and on it’s Right is the Goddess Guan Yin / Guan Yin Pu Sa / 觀音菩薩. By the side of the main altar, you also do offering to Da Bo Yeh / 大伯爷.

Bao Shan Tang-Ringlet / 保善堂-冷力

Bao Shan Tang-Ringlet / 保善堂-冷力.

Location:- Ringlet, Cameron Highland, Pahang /冷力, 金馬崙高原, 彭亨.

As we we heading towards Tanah Rata from Tapah, we came across this chinese temple located by the side of the hill along the main route. We decided to stop by to pay a visit and it’s is not disappointing.

Visiting a Chinese temple on a higher ground usually means a good view and if there is much more space for expansion, the more better. I would consider this place as having both.

Upon arrival, we were greated with beautiful and colorful wall painting of the 8 immortals, Ba Xian / 八仙 on the side wall of this temple. It has a beautiful Pai Lou / 牌樓 leading to the entrance of the temple. There is also a stage for its celebration and festival purposes.

On the inside, all wall are painted with chinese mythology characters. It’s copper made dragon embracing the pillars over-looking a bridge leading to the main altar is rarely seen. Just Unique. If a devotee has any enquiries, they could seek the bamboo stick oracle. And the answers derived from the oracle can be found on small pink papers in the cabinet by the side.

There is three altar enshrined in this temple. The centre altar is devoted to the worshipped of its main patron deity, Bao Sheng Da Di / 保生大帝. Other deities worshipped on this altar includes Guan Sheng Da Di / 關聖大帝, Guang Ze Zun Wang / 廣澤尊王, Fa Zhu Gong /法主公, etc. The Buddha / Fo Zu / 佛祖 is also enshrined on this altar.

An altar to the left is devoted to the worshipped of the Goddess Guan Yin Pu Sa / 觀音菩薩, Zhu Sheng Niang Niang / 注生娘娘 and Tian Hou Niang Niang / 天后娘娘. While an altar to the right is devoted to Marshall Zhao Gong Ming / 趙公明, Ji Gong Huo Fo / 濟公活佛, Qi Tian Da Sheng / 齊天大聖, etc. You would need to visit this place to know more.
